Craig R. Johnson
Vice Chairman, JMP Group


Craig Johnson is Vice Chairman of JMP Group, JMP Securities' parent company, and is a member of JMP Group's executive committee and board of directors. He is also Chairman of Harvest Capital Strategies, JMP Group's alternative asset management subsidiary. Craig joined JMP Group in 2002 and served as President of JMP Securities until 2007, when he became President of JMP Group.

Craig is a founder of Saw Island Asset Management, a manager of investments in hedge funds and other alternative assets acquired by Harvest Capital Strategies in January 2003. Craig previously spent twenty years, from 1980 through 2000, at Montgomery Securities and its successor, Banc of America Securities where he was most recently Director of Global Institutional Sales and a member of the firm's executive committee.

Craig is a member of the board of directors of Corticon Technology, a rules-based enterprise software platform for decision management. Additionally, he serves on the Stanford University Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Council and the board of advisors of Palo Alto Investors, an asset management firm. He also serves on the board of directors of Champion Charities and the San Francisco chapter of The First Tee.

Craig holds a BA in economics from Stanford University.
